D&E introduces 2018 Homecoming Court

ELKINS – Davis & Elkins College seniors Miss D&E Kelsie Roby and Mr. Senator Chris Berman were crowned during a Homecoming ceremony between the women’s and men’s soccer games Saturday at Nuttall Field. The remainder of the Homecoming Court, as selected by the student body, also was introduced and received sashes.

Roby, the daughter of Fred and Kelly Roby of Petersburg, majors in exercise science. She is a member of the triathlon team.

Berman is the son of David and Krista Berman of Williamstown. He majors in biology and chemistry in the pre-med program. He is the president of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and a member of Chi Beta Phi, Student Athlete Advisory Council, National Society of Leadership & Success and the track and field team.

Additional court members are Senior Princess Eleanor “Ellie” Rossiter, Senior Escort Fritz Peter, Junior Princess Jakeya Perrin, Junior Escort Chris Carter, Sophomore Princess Madeline “Maddy” Brown, Sophomore Escort Clay Messinger, Freshman Princess Olivia Smith and Freshman Escort Grayson Caldwell.

Rossiter is the daughter of Rachel and David Rossiter of Stowmarket, England. She majors in psychology and is a member of the women’s soccer team and president of the International Student Organization.

Peter is the son of Rudolf and Sandra Peter of Bielefeld, Germany. He double majors in management and finance and is a member of the men’s soccer team and the International Student Organization.

Perrin is the daughter of Michael and Stephanie Noel and Jamel Perrin of Huntington. She double majors in English and criminology. She is president of the Black Student Union, and a member of Zeta Kappa Xi sorority, Lambda Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta international English honor society, the Aurora literary journal and the women’s track and field team.

Carter is the son of Dwight and Mary Carter of Clayton, North Carolina. He majors in finance and is president of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and a member of the men’s swim team.

Brown is the daughter of Andy and Wanda Brown of Hedgesville. She double majors in business management and hospitality and tourism management. She is president of Student Assembly, and a member of the cross country and track and field teams, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Hospitality Club, Zeta Kappa Xi sorority and the Morrison-Novakovic Center for Faith and Public Policy.

Messinger is the son of David and Rebecca Messinger of Richmond Hill, Georgia. He majors in sport management and is a member of the men’s lacrosse team and Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.

Smith is the daughter of Lon and Kathy Smith of Martinsburg, Pennsylvania. She majors in exercise science and is a member of the softball team.

Caldwell is the son of David and Kelly Caldwell of Marietta, Georgia. He majors in finance and marketing and is a member of the baseball team.
