Davis Medical Center sponsoring lactation station for moms and infants during the Forest Festival

To promote family-friendly environments and support breastfeeding mothers, Davis Medical Center will sponsor a dedicated Lactation Station in Elkins City Park during the Forest Festival. The station will provide a comfortable, private, and clean space for nursing moms to feed their babies or pump breast milk during the festival.

The station will offer comfortable seating, clean and safe changing areas, electricity, complimentary water for moms, and information on breastfeeding and lactation support services available through Davis Medical Center.

Cynthia Marsh, RN, director of the DMC Family Birthing Center, expressed Davis Medical’s commitment to supporting new mothers: “We know that festivals can be a great time for families, but they can also present challenges for breastfeeding mothers. Our Lactation Station ensures that moms have a clean, comfortable place to nurse their babies. It’s part of our ongoing dedication to supporting the health and well-being of mothers and babies in our community.”

Mothers who are breastfeeding or pumping are encouraged to stop by the station from Wednesday, October 2, to Saturday, October 5, from 10 a.m. until dark. The Lactation Station was donated by Bubba’s Buildings and furnished by Clayton Homes.
