Custom Cabinets takes over lead in men’s golf

TENNERTON – Custom Cabinets scored a big win in week two of the second quarter to take over the top spot in the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League standings.

Custom Cabinets defeated Baker Tilly by a 22-14 score to move into first place with 42 ½ points.

UniFirst Corporation, last week’s leader, slipped to second place despite a 20-14 win over Highland Landscaping with 41 ½ points.

Hank Ellis Insurance made the biggest move of the week going up five spots from eighth to third after a 20-14 victory over High Point Construction, which dipped into fourth place.

The other two matches of the week saw Sam’s Pizza down Lisa Cain Edward Jones by an 18-16 count and Feola Flower’s edging First Community Bank by a 16-15 score.

Bobby Russell of Lisa Cain Edward Jones took Low Actual honors with a 39 while John Reger of Custom Cabinets brought home Low Net honors with a 30.
