County commission expresses gratitude for JF Allen land donation for future rec complex

Editor’s note: The following letter was submitted to My Buckhannon for publication by the Upshur County Commission.

BUCKHANNON — The Upshur County Commission is thrilled to have shared our vision with the Allen family and expressed our immense gratitude towards them and the JF Allen Company for their incredibly generous donation of 70 acres of land to Upshur County.

This donation will have a significant impact on the lives of families, ranging from youth to adults, in our community for many years to come.

We are truly overwhelmed by your kindness and would like to extend our appreciation.  We are excited about the prospects of developing a recreational and tourism attraction that will enhance the overall welfare of Upshur County.
