Connie Barnette named VIP at St. Joseph’s Hospital

BUCKHANNON — St. Joseph’s Hospital recently honored Connie Barnette with the Valued Inspired Person Award (VIP) for the hospital. Connie was the ER concierge, but stepped up to help run the Drive-Through COVID Testing Trailer, collecting swab samples for the lab.

Connie has worked diligently to provide the additional needs required since the pandemic started. According to many, she makes getting a COVID test enjoyable due to her constant smile, amazing personality, and kind words. She explains the testing process to help calm down any who are nervous, and is patient with all.

Connie’s co-workers say that to know her is to love her. She is our mission in human form, and exhibits our values daily. She is trustworthy, compassionate, and provides hospitality and stewardship to everyone she comes in contact with. An award well-deserved!

St. Joseph’s Hospital honors staff members with the Valued Inspired Person Award (VIP) on a bimonthly basis. The VIP Award is given to those who demonstrate the Christ values of the hospital: Compassion, Hospitality, Reverence, Interdependence, Stewardship, and Trust.
