The City of Buckhannon wishes all residents and neighbors a joyous and special holiday season. Here are important dates that concern employees and operations:

December 18, 2024, Wednesday, City Hall Staff Christmas Party – City Hall will close from noon to 2:00 p.m.

December 25, 2024, Wednesday, Christmas Day – All City Offices, including the Transfer Station, will be closed. No waste collection.

January 1, 2025, Wednesday, New Year’s Day – All City Offices, including the Transfer Station, will be closed. No waste collection.

Pay Utility Bills Online or by Phone – To make an online payment for your utility bill, click here: https://www.municipalonlinepayments.com/buckhannonwv. To pay over the phone, call 1-866-933-4026. Even if you do not wish to pay your bill using this method, you may still want to set up an account to monitor your consumption. To sign up, complete the online registration, knowing your Utility Board Account Number (printed on your bill) and the last amount paid. Once your account is established, log in with the correct email and password.

Reporting a Necessary Repair or Registering a Concern with the City – To report a necessary repair such as potholes, damaged street signs, an issue in a city park, etc., call City Hall during regular business hours to submit a work order request, or report concerns through the Citizens Engagement tool: https://buckhannonwv.portal.iworq.net/BUCKHANNON/new-request/700/3444. This will speed up the reaction time to matters needing immediate attention.
