BUCKHANNON — The annual Upshur County Community Christmas Day Dinner hosted by the Upshur Parish House will be available by takeout or delivery again this year.
No in-person dining option will be offered.
Takeout meals will be available for pick-up at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 88 South Kanawha Street, Buckhannon, beginning at 12:30 p.m. and ending at 1:30 p.m., on December 25. To schedule a meal delivery, call 681-837-6196 before December 23. If there is no answer, please leave a detailed message with your phone number, and someone will call back to confirm.
No pre-order is needed for takeout meals.
There’s also still plenty of time to sign up to volunteer and help with the dinner. Volunteers are needed for meal prep in the lead-up and for packing/delivering on Christmas day. For more information, call 681-837-6196. Please leave a message if there is no answer, and we will return the call.
The dinner is free of charge. Freewill donations will be accepted. Community members, businesses, churches, and organizations can make tax-deductible contributions to help cover the cost of the meal.
Checks can be mailed to Upshur Parish House, 68 College Avenue, Buckhannon, WV 26201. Please note that the gift is earmarked for the Christmas Day Dinner.
We appreciate all those who volunteer their time and services, donate generously, and always support the mission and ministry of the Upshur Parish House! We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and abundant blessings in the New Year!
