Christmas at Curry gleams with Yuletide spirit, live nativity

A living nativity was just one of many displays during the Christmas @ Curry drive thru festival of lights. The event was hosted by the James W. Curry Public Library and took place Friday and Saturday, Dec. 11-12.

BROOKS HILL — On Friday and Saturday evenings, Brooks Hill brought the Christmas spirit to vehicles passing through southern Upshur County with a special drive-thru Christmas lights display and nativity called Christmas at Curry.

Shanna Collins, dressed in holiday finery, greets those enjoying Friday and Saturday’s Christmas @ Curry drive-thru festival of lights. The event was sponsored by the James W. Curry Public Library and featured lights, a live nativity and inflatable Christmas decorations. This is the first festival of lights and sponsors said they hope this will be a recurring event in upcoming years.
