Charles William Suttle

Charles William Suttle, 92, of French Creek, W.Va., died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019 at his home.

He was born May 25, 1926 in Doddridge County, W.Va., a son of the late Claus and Oma Hurst Suttle. On June 1, 1964, he married Wanda June Suttle who preceded him in death on Feb. 20, 1995.

He is survived by three sons, Delmar Suttle and wife Judy and Denzil Suttle and wife Lori all of Buckhannon and Elmer Suttle and wife Candy of French Creek; one daughter, Alice Metz and husband Del of Cross Lanes, W.Va.; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and one sister, Emma Lou Jeffries and husband Earl of Weston, W.Va.

Mr. Suttle was a surface miner.

Friends will be received Thursday, March 7, 2019, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. J. Edward McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Church Cemetery in Hodgesville, W.Va.
