Camp Horseshoe to hold spring quilt retreat

ST. GEORGE – Spring is here and it is time to make plans to attend Camp Horseshoe’s Spring Quilt Retreat near St. George in Tucker County on May 14-18.

It will be the perfect place to spend quality time with your sewing machine and quilting friends both new and old. Come enjoy Horseshoe’s relaxed atmosphere, take advantage of this time to start a new project or catch up on those projects you have started and just haven’t found time to complete.

“Quilters will have an opportunity to choose a new project as follows: Mystery, Karin Rodeheaver, (Bayard, W.Va.); Oh My Stars Quilt, Kathy Miller, (Parsons, W.Va.); Sewing Station Caddy, Jar Wraps and Baby Bibs, Mary Smith (Parsons, W.Va.) and a mystery project as well; there will be demos by experienced quilters during the quilting event and some surprises along the way,” said Mary Smith, facilitator.

While at the retreat there are no chores, meals to cook or phones to answer. Join them for a great learning experience. You will be completely spoiled as you sew, eat and sleep. The fellowship and friendships formed will last a lifetime and you can take home a finished keepsake.

Come join in! For a brochure contact Mary Smith at 304-478-2899 for all the information and color photos of classes being offered.

The registration deadline is May 3.
