Two Buckhannon residents are facing drug charges after the Upshur County Sheriff’s Office located about 200 packages of suspected fentanyl following an investigation, according to a press release.
Rebecca D. Glover, 41, of Buckhannon, was charged with transporting fentanyl into the State of West Virginia, delivery of fentanyl and conspiracy to deliver fentanyl, the release states. Kelly D. Harvey, 40, of Buckhannon, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver fentanyl and conspiracy to deliver fentanyl.
“On February 21, 2025, deputies with the Upshur County Sheriff’s Office received a tip that a
a resident of Buckhannon was planning to transport suspected fentanyl into West Virginia from
outside the state,” the release states.
Deputies identified a suspect vehicle as part of their efforts to corroborate the tip.
At approximately 9 p.m. on February 22, the vehicle passed law enforcement on U.S. Route 33 and allegedly attempted to elude officers behind the Wingate Hotel on Commerce Boulevard.
“During a subsequent search and investigation, deputies located approximately 200 individual packages of suspected fentanyl, with a street value of approximately $3,000,” the release states.
Deputy Tyler Gordon was the lead investigator. He was assisted by the West Virginia State Police and the Buckhannon Police Department.
