Buckhannon Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt to be held at new location this year

BUCKHANNON — For decades, the Buckhannon Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt has been a family staple at the Buckhannon City Park. This year, however, the event will temporarily move to a new location due to work the city is performing to renovate the City Park, with plans to redo the basketball court area, add pickleball courts and pave the road network in the park.

The 2024 Buckhannon Lions Club Matt Hymes Memorial Easter Egg Hunt will be held at North Buckhannon Riverfront Park on Saturday, March 30, at 11 a.m. North Buckhannon Riverfront Park is located at the end of Cleveland Avenue, at 22 Sixth Street, Buckhannon, WV, 26201.

Hundreds of candy-filled eggs, including more than 30 special prize eggs, will be hidden around the North Buckhannon Riverfront Park for children ages 0 to 12 to find.
