BUCKHANNON — A solid second half wasn’t enough to bring the West Virginia Wesleyan College men’s basketball team back after a 25-point first half performance against Slippery Rock University and the Bobcats fell 100-71, Wednesday.
Wesleyan guard Aiden Blake led the effort with 7-of-13 field goals, all from beyond the three-point stripe, for 21 points. Alex Mirhosseini added 12 points and Curtis Litton tallied nine points.
The Bobcats start the MEC schedule with a trip to Fairmont State University for a 4 p.m. tip on Saturday, Nov. 18.
