Barbour Community Health Association welcomes physician assistant

Barbour Community Health Association (BCHA) is pleased to welcome Kaitlin Jones, PA-C, as the newest physician assistant at Barbour Quick Care.

A dedicated healthcare professional with deep roots in the community, Kaitlin brings a passion for patient-centered care and a commitment to serving the people of Barbour County.

Kaitlin’s healthcare journey began at Alderson Broaddus University (ABU), where she earned her BS in Biology. She then pursued a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at ABU, but after the university’s unexpected closure in 2022, she transferred to West Liberty to complete her degree.

Jones brings extensive experience from numerous rotations in West Virginia emergency departments, as well as family practice, general surgery, internal medicine, and more. She is a member of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and the West Virginia Association of Physician Assistants. Excited to step into her role at Barbour Quick Care, she thrives in its fast-paced, dynamic environment, where she can assist patients with a wide range of healthcare needs.

“I love the Quick Care setting because you never know what might walk through the door,” says Kaitlin. “Providing compassionate, quality care to my hometown is something I’ve always wanted to do.”

A native of Philippi, Kaitlin’s connection to Barbour County runs deep – her family has lived in the area for over 75 years. She is deeply committed to patient care and continuously seeks opportunities to expand her medical knowledge and skills.

“I am very family-oriented, and I take pride in my hometown. Giving back to Barbour County has always been a goal of mine. There is truly no place like home.” she says.

Outside of work, Kaitlin enjoys activities such as hunting, fishing, kayaking, and side-by-side riding.
