Alli Robinson signs a letter of intent to continue her softball career at West Virginia Wesleyan College next year.

Buckhannon-Upshur High School softball standout Alli Robinson signed a letter of intent Wednesday to continue her athletic career at West Virginia Wesleyan College next year.

Robinson, known for her slugging prowess, will join one of the premier organizations in the state at Wesleyan. Coach Steve Warner’s squad is consistently ranked among the Mountain East Conference elite and has made deep postseason runs in the last few years.

While the Lady ‘Cats lost some key players in the spring, they return plenty of talent, including 2018 MEC Freshman of the Year Lauryn King.

The Lady Bucs, meanwhile, turned things around last year, going 9-4 in the Big 10 and 11-12 overall. Robinson racked up several awards, including conference Player of the Year after batting .567 with 39 RBIs.

She was also a key player on the state runners-up Lady Buccaneer basketball squad.

Robinson plans to study athletic training at Wesleyan.
