B-U’s Arbogast, Greene and Zuliani named to All-State Soccer Team

TENNERTON – A trio of Buckhannon-Upshur Lady Bucs were honored as All-State selections by the 2021 West Virginia High School Soccer Coaches Association (WVHSSCA).

Earning All-State honors for the Lady Bucs were seniors Kierra Arbogast (Second Team), Miranda Greene (Honorable Mention) and Cameron Zuliani (Honorable Mention).

Arbogast was name to the Second Team as a defender while Greene and Zuliani were both selected to the Honorable Mention Team as midfielders.

Arbogast wasn’t able to record any offensive stats this season but was a defensive specialist from her center back position helping the Lady Bucs post nine shutouts this season.

Zuliani was an offensive spark plug for the team from her left midfield position scoring 15 goals and collecting 16 assists.

Greene, from her defensive-holding midfielder position, tallied three goals and recorded seven assists on the season.

The Lady Bucs notched a 13-6-2 record and advanced to the sectional championship game this season.

George Washington, who won the Class AAA title with a 2-1 victory over Wheeling Park, placed a team-best five players on the First Team.
