B-U swim teams compete at Elkins

ELKINS – The Buckhannon-Upshur swim teams competed at Elkins recently.

The Lady Bucs competed in a tri with Elkins and Doddridge County while the boys competed in a dual with Elkins.

The Lady Bucs finished third as Elkins was first and Doddridge County was runner-up.

The Lady Bucs failed to win a championship or an individual runner-up. Both Lady Bucs relays teams finished second.

On the boys’ side, Elkins downed the Bucs to claim the dual meet.

Carter Zuliani picked up a win in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 54.09.

The two teams will be idle until Dec. 20 when they host Philip Barbour and Grafton.
