BUCKHANNON — Buckhannon-Upshur High School and Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School invite you to ‘Navigating the Teenage Years,’ a family workshop scheduled for Thursday, March 23.
The workshop will take place from 6-8 p.m. in the B-UHS cafeteria.
Workshop sessions will cover a variety of topics, including teen mental health, vaping/drug awareness, physical fitness/nutrition, medical info for teens, internet and social media safety, financial planning after high school, signs of depression/suicidal ideation and the Farms to Schools program.
In addition, informational booths about the Upshur County Schools levy, Upshur County Family Resource Network, W.Va. Prevention Solutions, Mountain CAP of W.Va., scheduling Q and As with B-UHS counselors, the Communities in Schools program, W.Va. Parent Training and WVFEC-EdVenture will be set up.
Building tours for 2023-2024 freshmen will be available before the event from 5-6 p.m.
