BUCKHANNON – Time is ticking. Begin your cosmetology journey this year at Fred W. Eberle Technical Center by signing up before the 2022-2023 academic year application deadline, May 20.

Fred W. Eberle Technical Center is a vocational school that offers students a variety of trade programs. FETC fosters a career-based learning environment for students in North Central West Virginia.

The FETC Cosmetology program accepts student applications until May 20. Upon acceptance, students begin their studies around the middle of August, with the possibility to complete this program in as little as eighteen months. Classes are held at the FETC campus – located at 208 Morton Avenue in Buckhannon – from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

“Fred Eberle is an amazing school,” said Tammy Bragg, a 2018 graduate of the FETC Cosmetology program. “The instructors and administration there, truly, go above and beyond by helping students be prepared for graduation.”

Course objectives include cosmetology business practices, knowledge, skills, and professionalism. After the completion of 300 hours of hands-on experience in the classroom, students are eligible for licensure by the State Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists.

Contact the FETC office for more information about available programs, tuition rates and financial aid for the Cosmetology program. Students interested in applying for the FETC Adult Cosmetology program are encouraged to call the front office at 304-472-1259 or contact FETC online
