Anna Marie Kasten

Anna Marie Kasten, 61, of Buckhannon, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at St. Joseph’s Hospital.   She was born June 13, 1960, in Buckhannon a daughter of the late Freddie William and Dolores Dawn Ogden Kasten.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother-in-law David Leigh and two nephews:  D.J. Kasten and Joey Leigh.

She is survived by one brother Danny Kasten and wife Colleen of Buckhannon; two sisters:  Kathy Leigh of Buckhannon and Margy and husband Donovan Grenz of Thornton, WV; Aunt Laura Sweeney and husband Bill of Arizona and Uncle Kenneth Kasten of Charleston, WV; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews and many friends who she dearly loved.

Anna was a 1978 graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School where she lettered in Basketball, Volleyball and Track.  She loved horses, crafting and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.  Anna was a member of the Buckhannon Manor CEO’s and a member of the Kanawha Run Church. 

Friends will be received on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, from 5-7:00 PM at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Fred Guidi officiating.  Interment will follow at the Upshur County Memorial Park.
