BUCKHANNON — The Frank B. Bartlett American Legion Post 7 will be hosting a program next week for veterans with questions about travel claims procedures.

On Tuesday, Aug. 2, Buckhannon’s American Legion Post 7, located at 16. S. Kanawha St., will host the Clarksburg Veterans Administration’s Travel Office to assist veterans in using the new travel claims procedures.

The program will begin at 6 p.m.

The VA Travel Office will also be providing a presentation about their program to assist veterans in getting to their appointments at the VA Medical Center. While the price of gas has caused new challenges, many of our veterans have had to cancel their medical appointments due to a need for wheelchair access as well as a lack of transportation.
