A Grand Old Party: Republican Executive Committee to host Lincoln Day Dinner April 21

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — The Upshur County Republican Executive Committee’s annual Lincoln Day Dinner will be held Sunday, April 21st, at the Bicentennial Inn.

The social hour will begin at 1 p.m., and dinner will follow at 1:30 p.m.

The dinner will feature Matt Herridge, Chairman of the Republican Party of West Virginia, as the keynote speaker. Candidates, elected officials and the public are invited to attend. Tickets are $30 with a catered dinner provided by JAWS BBQ included.

The Upshur County Republican Executive Committee, led by Chairman Carl “Robbie” Martin and Vice Chairman LeVera Gillum, invites Republican candidates to give three minutes to introduce themselves and briefly discuss their campaigns.

Herridge, the state GOP Party Chairman, is a small business owner living in Wood County, West Virginia. He is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and is currently serving as Chairman of the Republican Party of West Virginia. Herridge is the co-owner/operator of 3 Qdoba Mexican Eats restaurants in West Virginia and Ohio.

He also co-owns a software development company that creates solutions for the restaurant industry. He has served on the Burger King Operations Advisory Council and as Treasurer, Secretary, and Government Relations Chairman for the Burger King franchisee association (NFA) while managing their PAC.

He currently serves on the Qdoba Franchisee Association (QFA) executive team as Secretary and co-chairman of the brand’s Technology committee. Herridge brings a wide network of industry professionals and contacts, as well as marketing and technology insights, that allow him to better understand customer behavior and IT strategies to increase sales and profitability in QSR and Fast-Casual concepts.

Herridge’s broad experience in business, technology, healthcare, and politics has provided him with a unique skill set that he applies to his chairmanship of the WV GOP, the franchise industry, and lobbying for small business interests in DC.
