Carol Ann Haymond

Carol Ann Haymond, 77, of Crawford, W.Va., died Thursday, January 16, 2020, at home.

She was born December 4, 1942, in Ambridge, Pa., a daughter of the late Nicholas and Stella Tomaszweski Garbinsky.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Russell Haymond; one brother, Jerry Garbinsky; five children: Raymond Riley of Marieta, Ohio, Marisa Riley of Virginia Beach, Va., Carla Riley (Steve Fraile) of Moncks Corner, SC, Richard Haymond of Wild Cat, W.Va. and Barbara Haymond (Roger Tiffner, II) of Buckhannon W.Va.; eight grandchildren; Benjamin Riley (Ashley) of Moncks Corner, S.C., Steffanee Johnson of Moncks Corner, Tosha Sweet (Ryan) of Richlands, N.C., Melissa Nichols (Patrick of Cordsville, S.C., Mason Riley (Loren) of Ashland, Ohio, MaKyna Kancso, Henley Tiffner, and Xander Poling all of Buckhannon, and great grandchildren, Rocco, Astrid, Ryleigh, Russia, Reid, Gabriella, Hunter, Kaiden, Ryu, Malia, Oakley and Ledger.

Mrs. Haymond was a private nurse and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She was a member of the Red Hatters and C.E.O.S. (Community Educational Outreach Service). She was very passionate about her family and enjoyed singing in church. She loved family, traveling, church, reading and cooking. She always took care of everyone.

Friends will be received Sunday, January 19, 2020, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at noon on Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Michael W. Wamsley officiating. Burial will follow in the Brown Cemetery in Rock Cave, W.Va.
