Mary Delores Levingston

Mary Delores Levingston, 63, of Buckhannon, passed away at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

She was born in Sewickley, PA, on January 7, 1962, a daughter of the late Guy Curtis Duke and Illean Margaret Lalli Duke. Mary was greeted in Heaven by her parents and four siblings: Nellie Lalli, Charlotte Lalli, Charlene Duke, and Lorella Duke.

Forever cherishing their memories of Mary are her husband James “Ed” Edmond Levingston whom she married on April 28, 1980; three children: James Duke of Bridgeport, Justin Levingston, and Sarah Butler both of Buckhannon; three grandchildren: Mercedes Jones, Noah Butler, and Dylan Duke; two great grandchildren: Hayley and Mia Jones; five siblings: Ethel Katus, Shirley Reinard, Joe Duke, Doris Duke all of Pennsylvania, and Warren Duke of Ohio. Her life was a beautiful journey, punctuated by the joy she found in her family and the comfort she provided them.

Mary was not just a homemaker; she was a beacon of warmth and joy for all who knew her. Her hobbies included gardening, crafting, and listening to classic rock and older country music, each an extension of her vibrant personality. These activities were the channels through which she expressed her creativity and passion, imbuing her home with a unique, welcoming aura that guests could feel the moment they stepped through the door. Her love for her home was like a song that she hummed every day, a melody that resonated within the walls of her house and the hearts of her loved ones. She previously attended Southern Baptist Church in Rock Cave, where shared her warmth and compassion with her community.

Mary’s request for Cremation has been honored at Clutter Funeral and Cremation located at 21 Elnora Circle in Buckhannon. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
