BUCKHANNON – Edward Jones has found a new home on Main Street in Buckhannon to grow its team and make room for future expansions.

Edward Jones financial advisors Lisa Cain and Brendan Cain entertained the community during their Dec. 3 ribbon cutting, allowing people to tour their new downtown office and enjoy some snacks.

Lisa Cain said they wanted the new Edward Jones office to become part of the community, and the best place to do that was Main Street.

“Brendan Cain has been a financial advisor with Edward Jones for over three years, and I’ve been with Edward Jones going on 14 years, so we decided we wanted to come together as a team,” Lisa Cain said. “Then we hired Carter Glover, who is also a financial advisor; we wanted to build a strong office in Buckhannon with three full-time financial advisors, which is a unique option.”

Lisa said the trio already lived in the area, so they wanted to grow their business here.

“We thought that it would be great to be part of the community; we all live here, we’re full-time financial advisors, and we just want to work with the community and be a visible part of the community,” Lisa Cain said. “I’ve been here for a long time, built my business and decided that we needed to bring some more people on, which is great.”

Brendan Cain said the building was the ideal location and size for their business.

“We really noticed the beauty of the building, the size and location, since it is central to everybody in Buckhannon,” Brendan Cain said. “This presented itself while we were looking for a different office space to fit all the people we have. We’re an expanding team, so we built this one out and doubled the square footage, with room for more.”

Edward Jones officially reopened at their new location at 4 East Main Street on Oct. 10.

Lisa Cain said Edward Jones financial advisors tailor their approach to each client.

“We take care of everything from financial planning to advice, and it’s not cookie cutter because each person is different,” she said. “At the beginning, we sit down, we find out what your needs, wants and wishes are, and then we set a plan together.”

Brendan Cain agreed, saying the first step is to pinpoint clients’ financial goals.

“First and foremost, we find out what the goal is, what they need, what they’re looking to do or accomplish, and we’re there to assist along the way from start to finish,” he said. “If it’s preparing for retirement, living in retirement, education, saving, estate considerations and many more, we service pretty much all of those here on a daily basis.”

The office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays. Clients are encouraged to make an appointment by calling 304-473-1992 or by taking a trip to see the office.
