Raptors in Flight: Master falconer swoops into West Virginia Wildlife Center this Saturday

French Creek, West Virginia – The West Virginia State Wildlife Center, a facility dedicated to the conservation and education of native wildlife species, is hosting an exciting event at their amphitheater this Saturday, May 6, at 11 a.m.

Established in 1923, the Wildlife Center has long provided educational programs, wildlife rehabilitation and opportunities to learn about and appreciate the incredible flora and fauna found in the region.

This Saturday, the community is invited to attend a special event featuring master-class falconer Collin Waybright of Laurel Fork Falconer. He will introduce some of his magnificent feathered friends to the audience. This educational event will offer attendees the opportunity to get up close and personal with incredible raptors and learn about their unique characteristics, abilities and natural history.

Waybright, an experienced falconer, will showcase the birds’ skills and provide insight into the ancient art of falconry. His presentation will not only entertain but also contribute to the Wildlife Center’s mission of fostering an appreciation for West Virginia’s diverse wildlife.
