TENNERTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur junior varsity Lady Bucs had issues getting their offense going scoring only 13 points in a 54-13 home loss to the University Hawks Tuesday evening.
With Harley Dean putting in a basket and Hailey Aegan a free throw, the Lady Bucs fell behind by a 14-3 score after one quarter of play.
A basket by Avi Travise was the only offense in the second quarter for the Lady Bucs as they trailed 31-5 at the break.
Dean put in four points and Olivia Shipley added a basket for B-U’s six third-quarter points.
They trailed 45-11 heading into the fourth quarter.
A Travise basket was all the offense for the Lady Bucs in the final quarter.
Dean led the B-U offense with six points while Travise had four.
Lexi Simpson led University with 18 points.
The loss dropped B-U to 3-7 on the year.
The Lady Bucs will be back in action at Philip Barbour Friday for a 5:45 p.m. contest
