GLENVILLE, WV – Glenville State University is again partnering with College for West Virginia (CFWV) to take part in West Virginia’s 13th annual College Application and Exploration Week. The week is being observed across the state from October 31-November 4, 2022.

“Coming on the heels of our successful Fall Open House this past weekend, what better way is there to celebrate than with the recognition of College Application and Exploration Week? We want to see our young West Virginians take this opportunity to review their future options and explore what an institution like Glenville State University can offer them,” said Glenville State University President, Dr. Mark A. Manchin. “We are going to need these students to fill the careers of tomorrow, and what better place to do that than right here on our bucolic campus in central West Virginia.”

In addition to having Admissions staff interacting with high school students throughout the week, Glenville State also shared “Why I Chose” stories from current students and alumni via social media. Employees were encouraged to post nametags outside their offices with their college alma mater to help spur continued conversation as well.

CFWV and its partners coordinate West Virginia’s College Application and Exploration Week initiative as part of the larger national effort coordinated by ACT’s Center for Equity in Learning’s American College Application Campaign. West Virginia’s College Application and Exploration Week is supported by the work of the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission, the West Virginia Community and Technical College System, the West Virginia Department of Education, West Virginia GEAR UP, West Virginia’s TRIO programs, and many others.
