Wesleyan women’s basketball team release 2022-23 schedule

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — The West Virginia Wesleyan women’s basketball team and head coach Brett Vincent released its 2022-23 schedule on Thursday (Oct. 6). The Lady Bobcats are scheduled to play 12 home games inside Rockefeller Center.

Wesleyan will open its season on Friday, November 11 in a road non-conference matchup versus Kentucky State. WVWC is slated to compete in an exhibition at Marshall on Nov. 15 in Huntington, W.Va.

The Lady Bobcats will start Mountain East Conference play on Nov. 19 at Frostburg State. Wesleyan will have its home opener on Nov. 22 versus Fairmont State. WVWC will play its final game of November on the road and will visit West Liberty on Nov. 30.

The Lady Bobcats have five games scheduled in December. Wesleyan will start a three-game homestand to start the month by hosting Wheeling (Dec. 3), Salem (Dec. 5) and Alderson Broaddus (Dec. 7). WVWC will be on the road for matchups versus Notre Dame (Ohio) on (Dec. 10) and Bluefield State on (Dec. 15).

Wesleyan will return from winter break on Jan. 2 for a road game versus Salem. The Orange & Black will continue its road trip to Charleston on Jan. 4. The Lady Bobcats have five home games in January: West Virginia State, Concord, Frostburg State, Davis & Elkins and West Liberty. Wesleyan will travel to Glenville State on Jan. 14 and Wheeling on Jan. 25.

Wesleyan is scheduled to play three home and five away games in February. The Lady Bobcats will start the month with a matchup versus Notre Dame (Ohio) at the Rockefeller Center on Feb. 1. WVWC will wrap up its home slate versus Glenville State on Feb. 18. The Lady ‘Cats will finish the season on the road for the final two games versus Fairmont State on Feb. 22 and Davis & Elkins on Feb. 25.

The Mountain East Conference Tournament will be held from Mar. 1 to Mar. 5 in Wheeling, W.Va.
