On Point Athletics wins two as week one wraps up in Upshur County Summer Basketball League

TENNERTON – The Upshur County Summer Basketball League wrapped up week one with a quartet of games played at the Recreational Complex Friday night.

In the first game, Dairy Queen edged Blades & Fades by a 72-69 score with Andy Upton leading Dairy Queen with a game-high 36 points while Robert Conti paced Blades & Faces with 19 points.

Game two saw The Outpost win a 75-65 decision over CEC as Isaac Walker scored 23 points to lead The Outpost while Drew Holcomb and Dawson Lilly each had 16 for CEC.

Game three had On Point Athletics winning a 75-70 verdict over TKS Contracting as Dalton Hamrick led On Point Athletics with 18 points while Shawn Morgan had a game-high 21 points for TKS Contracting.

The final game on Friday saw On Point Athletics win again as they downed KBAM Builders by a 70-57 score. Dalton Hamrick led On Point Athletics again with 19 points while Garrett Hamrick led KBAM Builders with 20 points.

After taking the weekend and July 4th off, the league will be back in action with three games on Tuesday as TKS Contracting opens things up with CPImagery at 6 p.m.
