PITTSBURGH, Pa. — West Virginia Wesleyan volleyball notched a 3–1 road victory (25–22, 26–28, 25–20, 25–18) over Point Park University on Friday evening. The Lady Bobcats improved to 15–8 overall and 7–4 in Mountain East Conference play with the win.

Wesleyan put together a steady offensive performance, hitting .232 as a team behind an attack that saw five different players record at least seven kills.

Bhrooke Axe led the front line with 11 kills and a .333 hitting percentage, adding two total blocks. Emily Denison followed closely with nine kills and four block assists, while Sabrina Carleton added eight kills, two aces, and three blocks. MacKenna Halfin was efficient, hitting .429 with eight kills and a solo block. Lisdarelyn Grassals chipped in seven kills and added one block assist.

Setter Lacey Guthrie directed the offense with 18 assists, while Claire Wheeler and Mia Myers combined for 24 more. The Lady Bobcats totaled 45 assists and 10 service aces, spreading the ball effectively across rotations.

Defensively, Wesleyan was anchored by Alexis Moeschler, who tallied 16 digs and added an ace. The back row combined for 45 digs overall, while the net defense produced 10 team blocks, led by Denison’s four block assists and Carleton’s three.

The Lady Bobcats’ serving proved pivotal in key stretches—particularly in the fourth set—where aces from Moeschler, Grafton, and Guthrie helped establish early momentum.

Point Park (3–20, 2–9 MEC) was paced by Nicole Reasbeck’s 19 kills on .375 hitting and Avery Budrys Rini’s 14 kills, but the Pioneers were limited to .150 hitting as a team and committed 27 attack errors.

The Rockefeller Center will host an important late regular season clash between the Bobcats and the Concord University Mountain Lions. Support the Bobcats on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. Admission is free at the Rock.
