Wesleyan volleyball falls in straight sets to Wheeling

BUCKHANNON – The West Virginia Wesleyan Lady Bobcat volleyball team was looking to bounce back off two conference losse Friday night at home against the Wheeling Cardinals but Wheling proved to be a tough opponent as Wesleyan would lose in straight sets, 25-17, 25-11 and 25-17.

Wesleyan struggled offensively recording a 0% hitting percentage with 28 kills and 28 attack errors.

Notable performances for the Lady Bobcats included Olivia Albrecht with nine kills. Bhrooke Axe followed with seven kills on the night and six digs defensively. Helena Kelley led in serving aces with threee and was put in the three sets as the primary setter, recording seven assists. Sophomore, Emily Dension recorded nine digs and four kills on the night.

The Lady Bobcats were slated to play West Liberty University on Saturday. They will return to action this Friday at Frostburg State.
