Wesleyan softball starts spring break trip 0-4

CLERMONT (Fla.) — In a commanding performance, St. Cloud State University rolled to a 14-0 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan in a one-sided softball game. The Huskies’ offensive explosion, coupled with a stellar pitching performance, was more than enough to secure the win in six innings.

West Virginia Wesleyan struggled to generate offense throughout the game. Despite a few solid individual performances—such as Alyssa Rohr’s single and Kendall Stoffel’s base hit—the team managed just four total hits and was unable to score any runs. The team also stranded six runners on base, unable to capitalize on limited opportunities.

CLERMONT (Fla.) — Clarion University delivered a dominant performance, defeating West Virginia Wesleyan 8-0 in a six-inning shutout. Behind a stellar outing from pitcher Emma Hipps, who tossed a complete game, Clarion capitalized on timely hits andWesleyan’s defensive errors to take the win.

West Virginia Wesleyan couldn’t generate enough offense to challenge Clarion. Despite four hits, including a double by Stoffel and a solid game from Gracey Arnold (1-for-2), the team stranded five runners and made critical fielding errors that contributed to Clarion’s big inning.

Tiffin 8, West Virginia Wesleyan 0

CLERMONT (Fla.) — Tiffin University showcased an all-around dominant performance, shutting out West Virginia Wesleyan 8-0 in a six-inning contest. Tiffin’s offense exploded early, and the strong pitching duo of Jasmin Speth and S.sylea Zolman kept Wesleyan’s hitters in check for the entire game.

West Virginia Wesleyan couldn’t muster much offense, managing only four hits throughout the game. Alyssa Rohr led the team with two hits, but the team stranded seven runners and failed to get on the scoreboard. Defensively, the team committed two errors, which contributed to Tiffin’s big second inning.

CLERMONT (Fla.) — Southern New Hampshire University secured a hard-fought victory over West Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon, with a final score of 5-3. The game featured a solid team effort from SNHU, including strong pitching and key offensive contributions.

For Wesleyan, Andie Dizon (1-for-4, 2 RBIs) had a strong game at the plate, driving in both of Wesleyan’s runs in the fifth inning with a double. Lynzee Hague (1-for-3, 1 RBI) added an important RBI single in the sixth inning, keeping Wesleyan in the game.
