BUCKHANNON — According to a recent announcement from Upshur County Schools, Mrs. TeLenna Bender has been named this year’s Upshur County Service Personnel of the Year.
Serving as the Facilities Secretary for the Board of Education, Mrs. Bender consistently demonstrates her commitment to supporting the staff and schools within the district.
As stated by Upshur County Schools, Mrs. Bender goes above and beyond to lend a helping hand to everyone, regardless of the situation. She actively seeks opportunities to build meaningful relationships with students, staff, and community members, fostering a sense of unity and collaboration.
In addition to her service, Upshur County Schools highlighted Mrs. Bender’s role as a life-long learner as she continually seeks to expand her knowledge and skills. Currently, Mrs. Bender is pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology through college courses.
