BUCKHANNON – My Buckhannon is proud to present another fall season of the Hank Ellis All-Stars. Each week, we will select a male and female athlete at Buckhannon-Upshur who has had an exemplary week on the football field, soccer field, cross country course, volleyball court or golf course

Our Hank Ellis All-Stars for the week of Aug.25 – Aug. 31 are Rylen Carlyle and Alex Sappey.

Carlyle is a junior on the Lady Buc soccer team. She had four goals in a dominating 8-0 home win over Cabell Midland this past Saturday as she helped the Lady Bucs even their record to 1-1.

Sappey is a senior on the Buccaneer cross-country team. He defeated 97 other runners to claim first place in the Buckhannon-Upshur Invitational with a time of 17:14.8. He was almost 10 seconds faster than the second-place finisher.
