Tennis ‘Cats down Frostburg State, Lady ‘Cats fall

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – The West Virginia Wesleyan men’s and women’s tennis teams were in action Tuesday evening against Frostburg State with the men’s team picking up their seventh win of the season, winning 6-1 and the women falling 6-1.

The Men
Frostburg started the day with a doubles win over Camillo Salvi and Kevin Lin 7-6. Kihiro Karasawa and Emmanuel Mallya were victorious 6-1 in the second match. In the third doubles match, Anthony McIntosh and Andreas Hald Dige were also winners by a score of 6-1.

In singles competition, the Bobcats were dominate. Karasawa, Mallya, Kevin Lin, McIntosh and Jonathan Lindstrand all won, including McIntosh winning 6-0 in both sets.

The Women
In doubles play, the team of Omolade Aderemi and Cayley Symons lost 6-0. Megan Meyer and Raelyn Vance also fell 6-0.

Symons had to go three sets to pick up the singles win. In other singles play, Aderemi also went three sets but fell in the final set. Meyer and Vance were both defeated.

Up Next For The Bobcats
Both teams head to Fairmont State Wednesday for a pair of matches that are set to start at 3 p.m.
