Stonewall Resort to host Memorial Weekend fireworks display May 25th

Stonewall Resort will host its annual Memorial Weekend fireworks on May 25, with various activities, amenities, and a special Memorial Day ceremony open to the public throughout the holiday weekend.

Stonewall Resort will host their annual Memorial Weekend fireworks display over the lake at dark on Sunday, May 25th. The event is open to the public with a park entry fee of $10 per vehicle. Additionally, both day- and overnight-guests have access to a wide variety of resort activities and amenities throughout the weekend.”

“We pride ourselves in putting on a top-notch fireworks display in celebration of Memorial Day and to honor the men and women who have served and are serving our country,” said Andre’ D’Amour, resort general manager. “Memorial weekend is the perfect time to acknowledge our fallen heroes as well as the start of summer.”

D’Amour said the resort will offer a variety of lawn games and other activities from Friday, May 23 through Monday, May 26. All day-guests and overnight visitors can purchase an Outfitters Pass which grants access to recreation equipment rentals, to include kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddle boards. Bike rentals are also available in the property’s Recreation Center. Guests also have access to much of the property to include the golf course, marina and lake, spa, more than 23 miles of hiking and biking trails. Stillwaters Restaurant, Lightburn’s and TJ Muskies Bar & Grill will be open. Reservations can be made by calling (304) 269-8880.

On Monday morning, beginning at 9am, the resort will host a Memorial Day program in remembrance of the men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. The program will include an Introduction of the Lewis County Honor Guard, Pledge of Allegiance, Memorial Day Remembrance Speech, prayer to honor our fallen heroes, a 21-gun salute, the playing of Taps, and the retrieval of the colors. The public, as well as resort guests, are encouraged to attend.
