BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – St. Joseph’s Hospital is thanking its Quality and Infection Prevention staff during the week of October 16-22, in recognition of National Healthcare Quality and International Infection Prevention Week.

Healthcare Quality staff focus on enhancing patient care delivery and improving patient outcomes while optimizing value. This work has never been more important than during the COVID-19 pandemic

Infection Prevention staff play a crucial role in keeping our neighborhoods safe and healthy. In addition to fighting a global pandemic, infection prevention specialists protect from surges in healthcare-associated infections, measles outbreaks, flu season, and so many other day-to-day infectious battles.

Buckhannon plans water main work during Route 20 closure as other utility projects advance
