Reminder: Northbound lane of S. Locust Street to be closed near Upshur County Courthouse starting Monday

BUCKHANNON — The Upshur County Commission has contracted with Reclaim Company LLC to demolish the three-story structure at 18 S Locust Street, Buckhannon, on Monday, April 8, beginning at approximately 8 AM and continuing until 4 PM.

For public safety, the northbound lane of S. Locust Street will be closed during demolition. Flaggers will be in place to alternate the traffic flow. Chancery Street will be closed in the area of the demolition. Franklin Street will be closed at S Locust Street. An alternate route north is S. Kanawha Street to Main Street.

Weather or other unforeseen conditions may cause the date or times to change.

VIPS and CERT volunteers will be assisting with traffic during the closure.
