Man faces more than 20 sexual abuse allegations as Upshur County Grand Jury returns 32 total indictments in January term

An Upshur County Grand Jury returned 32 indictments on Monday, according to a press release from the prosecuting attorney’s office.

Daniel Scott Grogg, 28, of Buckhannon: Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, a felony, one count.

Charles Ray Smith, 68, of Buckhannon: Use of Obscene Matter with the Intent to Seduce a Minor, a felony, one count.

Patricia Ann Mendel, 43, of French Creek: Arson in the First Degree, a felony, two counts.

Nathanael James Cragle, 28, of Volga: Entry of a Building other than a Dwelling, a felony, one count; Escape from Custody, a felony, one count; Petit Larceny, a misdemeanor, one count; Destruction of Property, a misdemeanor, one count.

John Matthew Emerich, 61, of Ellamore: Fleeing with Reckless Indifference to the Safety of Others, a felony, one count; Prohibited Person in Possession of a Concealed Firearm, a felony, one count; Prohibited Person in Possession of a Firearm, a misdemeanor, one count.

Jefferey Scott Davis, 39, of Oak Hill: Receiving or Transferring Stolen Vehicle, a felony, one count; Grand Larceny, a felony, one count.

Shana Ellen Frazier, 34, of Clarksburg: Driving while License Revoked for DUI, 3rd or Subsequent Offense, a felony, one count.

Timothy Andrew Freeman, 45, of Buckhannon: Fraudulent use of an Access Device, a felony, 12 counts.

A 17-year-old juvenile: Robbery in the First Degree, a felony, one count; Conspiracy, a felony, one count.

Mandy Ann Knotts, 21, of Grafton: Delivery of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver, a felony, one count; Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a felony, one count; Conspiracy to Commit a Felony Violation of Chapter 60A, Article 401 of the West Virginia Code, a felony, one count.

William Thomas Wolfe, 39, of Buckhannon: Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a felony, one count; Conspiracy to Commit a Felony Violation of Chapter 60A, Article 401 of the West Virginia Code, a felony, one count.

Bobbie Renae Nixon, 31, of Buckhannon: Gross Child Neglect Creating Substantial Risk of Death or Serious Bodily Injury, a felony, one count.

Allen Jason Nuttle, 45, of Buckhannon: Gross Child Neglect Creating Substantial Risk of Death or Serious Bodily Injury, a felony, one count.

Douglas Keith Bowser, 40, of Buckhannon: Fleeing with Reckless Indifference to the Safety of Others, a felony, one count; Fleeing in a Vehicle while Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance, a felony, one count; Fleeing by Means other than the use of a Vehicle, a misdemeanor, one count; Driving while License Revoked for DUI, 3rd or Subsequent Offense, a felony, one count; Obstructing an Officer, a misdemeanor, one count.

Leonard Loyal Casto, 43, of Buckhannon: Grand Larceny, a felony, one count; Receiving or Transferring Stolen Goods, a felony, one count; Tampering with a Vehicle, a misdemeanor, one count.

Dakota Chadwick Cabic, 28, of Buckhannon: Fraudulent use of an Access Device, a felony, 14 counts.
