Lisa Cain Edward Jones takes over lead in Men’s Golf League

TENNERTON – With each new week in the Buckhannon Country Club Bob Cupp Memorial Golf League, there seems to be a different team that takes the top spot in the standings.

It was no different this week as Lisa Cain Edwad Jones took over first place from last week’s leader First Community Bank after a huge 27-13 win. The loss dropped First Community Bank all the way down to fifth place in the standings.

Hank Ellis Insurance moved from fourth place to second place after a 25-15 win over Feola’s Flowers. The match served a dual purpose as the two teams tied for the second-quarter lead and this was their tiebreaker to determine the second-quarter winner.

Highland Landscaping remained in third place despite a 20 ½-19 ½ loss to High Point Construction who moved into fourth place with the win.

In the other match of the week, Custom Cabinets defeated Sam’s Pizza by a 22-18 count.

Chris Brady of Lisa Cain Edward Jones brought home Low Actual honors with a 36 while David Pitcher of Lisa Cain Edward Jones took Low Net honors with a 31.
