Lady ‘Cats announce 2020-21 basketball schedule

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — The West Virginia Wesleyan women’s basketball team released its 2021-22 schedule on Tuesday.

The Lady Bobcats are scheduled to play 14 home games inside the Rockefeller Center.
 
Wesleyan will open its season on Sunday, November 14 at home in a non-conference matchup versus Kentucky State. The Lady Bobcats will play three games at home during the month of November, including a game versus Salem on Nov. 17 and a Mountain East Conference test against Frostburg State on Nov. 20. WVWC will conclude the month of November playing its first road game of the season at Fairmont State on Nov. 23.
 
The Lady Bobcats have four games scheduled in the month of December. Wesleyan will host West Liberty on Dec. 1 and Notre Dame (Ohio) on Dec. 11. WVWC will be on the road for matchups versus Wheeling on Dec. 4 and Alderson Broaddus on Dec. 8.
 
Wesleyan will return from winter break on Jan. 5 for a home game versus Charleston. On Jan. 8, the Lady Bobcats will return to Walker Convocation Center to play the Yellow Jackets of West Virginia State. Wesleyan defeated WVSU in Institute in the MEC Tournament on March 1 by a score of 100-84.

The Orange & Black are scheduled to play three consecutive road games in January at Frostburg State (Jan. 19), Davis & Elkins (Jan. 22) and Salem (Jan. 24).
 
The Lady Bobcats will start the month of February with a matchup versus Notre Dame (Ohio) in South Euclid, Ohio, on Feb. 2. Wesleyan is scheduled to play six home games in the month of February.

The final three games of the regular season slate are all scheduled to be at home: Bluefield State (Feb. 21), Fairmont State (Feb. 23) and Davis & Elkins (Feb. 26).

The MEC Tournament will begin on March 2 and conclude on March 6.
