Golf Bucs place 13th at first ever Big 10/Cardinal Conference Classic

TORNADO – The Buckhannon-Upshur golf Bucs finished 13th out of 21 teams in the first ever Big 10/Cardinal Conference Classic on Wednesday at the Big Bend Golf Course in Tornado

The Bucs carded a 275.

Winfield won the event with a 213 while Herbert Hoover was second with a 227 and Bridgeport was third with 235. Rounding out the top five were Fairmont Senior with a 239 and Philip Barbour with a 247.

The Bucs were led by Jaden Westfall with a 91 while Parker Lockwood and Easton Perkins each shot 92s and Tucker Burr carded a 94.

Winfield took the top three individual spots as Jackson Woodburn was low medalist with a 70 and Stephen McDavid was runner-up with a 71 and Andrew Johnson was third with a 72.

The action left the Bucs with a 10-18 record.

They will be back in action Wednesday with Grafton at Tygart Lake Golf Course.
