Sweetest Berry Competition

The WV Strawberry Festival is set to host its annual Sweetest Berry Competition, which is open to any strawberry grower. The event will take place on May 19th at 3:00 pm at the Upshur County Courthouse Plaza.

The competition will feature 12 judges, six boys and six girls, all 12 years old (6th Graders), who will evaluate the sweetness of the berries. To enter, growers must submit two quarts of the same variety of strawberry, one to be judged and one to give to the judges. Growers can enter as many varieties as they wish.

The Sweetest Berry Competition is an exciting event that showcases the best strawberries in the region and celebrates the arrival of the strawberry season.
