The Upshur County Historical Society is inviting visitors to take a trip down memory lane and explore the history of the WV Strawberry Festival. After a hiatus due to the pandemic, the society will have a mini-exhibit on display entitled “The Historic Children of the Strawberry Festival” at its repository located at 29 W. Main Street. The exhibit has traditionally featured photographs and costumes from the festival’s early days, including the children’s parade, which was popular until the festival was shut down in 1942 due to World War II.
