City of Buckhannon releases updated schedule of fall and winter events

Buckhannon released an updated fall and winter event schedule featuring parades, festivals, arts performances, holiday celebrations, community walks, theater productions, and recurring wrestling events across Jawbone Park, the Colonial Arts Center, and Brushy Fork.

The City of Buckhannon has released an updated schedule of activities that include collaborations with the Colonial Arts Center, the Event Center at Brushy Fork, and the Consolidated Public Works Board.

September 28, 2025 – Gold Star Mothers’ Rose Garden Dedication & Luncheon at Jawbone Park from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m.

October 3, 2025 – Suicide Prevention Walk at the Walk Trail sponsored by the West Virginia Wesleyan College Center for Community Engagement from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

October 5, 2025 – The Upshur 4-H Fair Recruitment Drive will be held in Jawbone Park from noon until 4:00 p.m.

October 8, 2025 – Buckhannon-Upshur High School Homecoming Parade down Main Street with activities following in Jawbone Park. The parade begins at 6:00 p.m.

October 10, 2025 – The CAC Art Gallery presents the 2nd annual “Booockhannon Art Exhibit”, located in the Colonial Arts Center.

October 11, 2025 – Real Shoot Wrestling Event will be held at the Event Center at Brushy Fork

October 18, 2025 – Harvest Festival & Chili Cook-off hosted by Moon Flower, 46 East Main Street, Buckhannon, WV. Enjoy crafts, flowers, homemade goods, and thrift items. They will showcase chili made from 10+ local restaurants.

October 23 – 26, 2025 – Buckhannon Community Theatre presents “PUFFS” in the Colonial Arts Center.

October 27, 2025 – Trunk-or-Treat will be held in the Public Safety Complex Parking Lot from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

October 31, 2025 – Trick-or-Treat in Buckhannon’s city limits from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

October 31, 2025 – Pop’s Furniture Halloween Costume Contest in Jawbone Park from 7:45 to 8:30 p.m.

November 11, 2025 – Veterans Day Parade down Main Street with activities afterward in Jawbone Park. The parade lineup begins at 8:30 a.m.

November 22, 2025 – Holly Jolly Craft Show will be held at the Event Center at Brushy Fork.

November 27, 2025 – Upshur County Recreational Complex will hold a 5K, beginning in Jawbone Park at 7:30 a.m.

November 29, 2025 – Real Shoot Wrestling Event will be held at the Event Center at Brushy Fork.

December 4 – 7, 2025 – Buckhannon Community Theatre presents “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Jr.”, in the Colonial Arts Center.

December 5, 2025 – Buckhannon Fire Department Christmas Parade down Main Street at 6:00 p.m. Santa Claus will visit the Buckhannon Fire Department following the parade.

December 6, 2025 – Holiday “FURtastic” Elimination Dinner beginning at 6:00 p.m., at the Event Center at Brushy Fork.

December 14, 2025 – Annual Menorah Lighting in Jawbone Park at 7:00 p.m.

December 20, 2025 – Real Shoot Wrestling Event at the Event Center at Brushy Fork.
