Buckhannon Elks Lodge 1736 donated $500 each to the Upshur Parish House,
Upshur County Youth Camp and the Upshur County Special Olympics.
The Parish House donation will be put towards safety upgrades at their location on College Avenue.
The money was made possible through a Gratitude Grant the Lodge received from Elks International Foundation.
The Upshur County Commission is accepting applications for a full-time E911 telecommunicator (dispatch) position starting at $15 per hour, with higher pay possible for experienced applicants. Position remains open until filled.
