BUCKHANNON – Get your schnackz and schweetz now because the Buckhannon Sheetz location will close March 12 to prepare for a ground-up renovation of the entire building.

Nick Ruffner, public relations manager for Sheetz, said the Weston location would reopen on March 7, i.e., before the Buckhannon location closes.

“Sheetz’s store in Weston closed in September 2022 for a major remodel to begin,” Ruffner told My Buckhannon in an email. “Sheetz is excited to be offering our loyal customers in Weston a new store design which will include a restaurant-style experience with self-service kiosks and additional seating both inside and outside the store. The store is tentatively scheduled to reopen to the public on March 7, 2023. Additionally, Sheetz’s store in Buckhannon will close on March 12, 2023, for a similar remodel to begin.”

Buckhannon’s Sheetz is scheduled to reopen later this summer, with several signs on the store saying August 2023.

“Sheetz employees from both locations will and have been offered other jobs in the company temporarily while the remodels are underway,” Ruffner said.

According to previous My Buckhannon article, the location also plans to add a drive-thru.

Sheetz operates over 500 locations throughout West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland, Ohio and North Carolina, according to its website.
