Davis & Elkins launches athletics fundraising campaign

ELKINS – The Davis & Elkins College Athletic Department in collaboration with the Office of Institutional Advancement, is pleased to announce the launch of a new fundraising campaign for Senator Nation Athletics.

The announcement falls in line with the start of homecoming festivities this weekend at Davis & Elkins College. The crowdfunding campaign for Davis & Elkins College Athletics will run for two months, running from October 13 through December 14, the close of the fall semester. This type of fundraising effort is a first of its kind for the Senators.

The event will run through the College’s MobileCause platform. In lieu of a traditional “Phone-a-thon” or a direct mailing campaign, the MobileCause platform allows donors a modern way to support student-athletes in their pursuit of Developing Excellence through Education, Engagement, Character and Competition at their own convenience.

“We are delighted to partner with MobileCause to deliver new ways for our athletic supporters to assist our department in providing additional resources to our athletic program as we continue to strive to Develop Excellence in our student-athletes and provide them with the most outstanding experience possible,” said Jamie Joss, Davis & Elkins College Director of Athletics.

The new Senator Nation Athletics fundraising campaign is asking the supporters of Davis & Elkins College athletics and extended families to participate in a global giving event by making a gift of any size. As part of the campaign, individuals can contribute to the Department of Athletics and its 23 varsity sports teams.

Donations will be streamlined through the website and sport-specific fundraising goals will update automatically. Each sports team at Davis & Elkins has their own fundraising goal, as well as a main goal for the entirety of the Senator Nation Athletic Department.

Fans of Senator Nation Athletics are encouraged to help support the crowdfunding campaign through the MobileCause platform, which can be found at www.senatornation.com/give/ along with the use of the customized hashtag, #SupportSenatorNation.
