GRAFTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School cross-country Little Bucs ran sixth out of eight teams at the Mid Mountain 10 Conference championships that were held Thursday evening at West Taylor Elementary School.
The Little Bucs finished the meet with 171 points.
Taylor County won the team title with 25 points while East Fairmont was second with 69 and Bridgeport was third with 74.
Kenton Stump was the top runner for the Little Bucs, placing 15th with a time of 12:28.
The other Little Bucs scoring were Lucas Fortney in 45th (14:14), Grayson Malcolm in 53rd (14:45), Kylan Hedrick in 54th (14:52) and Mitchell Whitley in 56th (15:01).
Chase Maier of Taylor County won the individual crown with a time of 11:10 while his teammate, Carter Gillespie, finished second with a time of 11:24.
The team will run again Tuesday at Doddridge County at 4 p.m.
